When a booking confirms instantly, the client pays to confirm and the time is held while they do. When a booking is a request, choose whether the client pays after your team accepts, or their card is held first and released if you decline.

A deposit sits against its appointment and reduces the balance on that appointment’s invoice, so nobody pays twice and nobody works it out by hand.

Refund a deposit when the reason is a good one. Your cancellation terms and any fee are shown to clients before they cancel online, and a fee is never charged automatically: you decide.
What liddle will not do for you yet
Online payments go through Stripe. There is no card reader or Tap to Pay, so a card taken at the counter is recorded against the sale rather than processed by liddle.

Does liddle take a cut of deposits or payments?
No. liddle adds no fee to the payments your clients make. Stripe charges its own processing fees to your Stripe account.
Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes, to take deposits and card payments online. You connect it in liddle’s payment settings.
What happens to a held card if I decline the request?
The hold is released and the client is not charged.
Can liddle charge a cancellation fee automatically?
No. The fee is shown with your terms when a client cancels, and charging it is your decision.
